Publications

Our research’s central theme is to develop and use mathematical models to guide decision making for logistics and supply chain challenges.  A recent research focus is on rethinking supply chain design for modern distribution systems.

We are modelers, whose core intellectual strength is in the development of mathematical representations of complex systems and processes to better understand the implications of their design and operation.  Our research approach is to:

  1. develop mathematical models encompassing the primary system trade-offs,
  2. discover solution approaches and algorithms to solve the models, and then
  3. use the developed models and approaches to provide managerial insights and policy recommendations.
